Clean Marina of the Year

All MAT Marina members with confirmed Clean Texas Marina status are eligible to enter the 30th Annual Clean Marina Awards Competition. The best overall entry will receive the MAT Award for the Best Environmental Education Program.

The evaluation is based on the following criteria:

1) Activity that best represents the theme of the National Clean Boating Campaign – “Boating is good clean fun. Let’s keep it that way.”

2) Activity that represents a positive approach to helping boaters appreciate the value of clean water and provides a positive environmental message to boaters.

3) Activity that focuses on clean boating practices that really work, are affordable, and can be environmentally effective.

4) Activity that is fun while providing boaters clean habits and allows them to celebrate the need for clean water for good boating.

There will be no size categories or divisions.

Applications are due August 1, 2026.

The winning entry will be announced during the 54th Annual MAT Conference October 19-21, 2026 at Tremont House Hotel in Galveston, Texas.
